Healy combines critical thinking and strong research skills with a human-centred approach to problem solving – she always focuses on understanding her clients’ context and objectives as part of working out an effective, tailored approach to the job.
Before joining us in 2022, Healy was an Operational Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Social Development, where she worked on operational design for new policy initiatives. In that role she worked on all stages of policy design, including developing detailed business rules and guiding principles of policy changes to achieve the objectives of new legislation. The work was research-heavy and involved consulting with Ministers and government stakeholders, contributing to Cabinet Papers, and detailed report writing.
Healy thrives on qualitative research and working to understand people and the real-world barriers they face. She excels at communicating her analysis clearly, supported by local and international research, and at developing pragmatic and creative solutions. Her academic background in education and sociology also means she is experienced in facilitating diverse groups of people.
