Edith Yu
Edith’s amazing eye for detail and quality, her natural instinct to take initiative, and her caring, empathetic nature make her a highly valued member of our Business Services team
Edith is a calm, focussed, super-organised professional who can always be relied on as a safe pair of hands. She’s also able to turn on a pin when her help is needed urgently. The list of everything Edith does in managing our Tāmaki Makaurau office is a very long one, but with endless energy she also manages to serve on several MartinJenkins workplace committees.
Edith cares greatly for her colleagues and she loves that the MartinJenkins way involves working closely with other staff to make things happen. She enjoys being part of a firm where everyone inspires and pushes each other to do high-quality work, and where people’s contributions are recognised and valued.
Edith was born in Liaoning, China’s northernmost coastal province, and came to Aotearoa when she was 10. She’s fluent in English, but her first language is Mandarin. Outside the office Edith will typically be found outdoors, but she also prioritises spending downtime with family and friends. She loves to travel (Egypt is next on the list), and whenever arriving at a new place she always wants to soak up the local history and culture.
Edith has a BA from the University of Auckland with a double major in Film Studies and Political Studies, and Honours in International Relations.
