A highly versatile strategic adviser, Sarah helps clients tackle and solve wicked and uncomfortable problems – from complex regulatory challenges to handling high-profile independent reviews.

Sarah offers a special combination of first-class analytical abilities and strategic thinking. She works with boards and executive teams on issues that may otherwise be confronting and uncomfortable to tackle.  

As a Partner and Board member of MartinJenkins, Sarah also heads our Auckland practice, leading a skilled group of multi-disciplinary professionals.  

Originally trained as a commercial regulatory economist at the New Zealand Treasury, Sarah has accumulated vast experience across sectors such as water, energy, transport, labour markets, healthcare, and social services.

Examples of Sarah’s work

  • Leading several assignments focussed on joint ventures, collaborative ways of working, and partnerships between local government, central government, community organisations, and mana whenua
  • She has often led strategic and independent reviews, prepared the preparation of business cases and Budget bids, and other areas of applied multidisciplinary analytical thinking
  • Work for private-sector clients facing regulatory and labour-market challenges, including working with large organisations to improve workforce planning and worker welfare.
