Consulting

Natalie successfully bridges the worlds of research, evaluation, and data analytics, combining her expertise in these areas to generate evidence-based insights to answer challenging questions.

A highly structured thinker with a background in national security, Natalie is dedicated to helping clients get the most analytic value out of their data. She is also a thoughtful qualitative researcher, approaching interviews and engagement with care and curiosity.

Natalie has a knack for translating technical concepts in a way that’s easily understandable, and for bringing together evidence from multiple sources into a single coherent story.

Examples of Natalie's work

  • Leading an assessment of UN-developed global indicators and statistics for climate change on behalf of Stats NZ, to assess the viability of New Zealand reporting against them
  • Undertaking quantitative research and analysis on the economic resilience of Pacific peoples in New Zealand – this generated insights that were new to the client, who used it to develop an engagement strategy for qualitative research
  • Building an index to measure the level of cyber-security resilience for small- to medium-sized businesses – this involved developing an analytical framework and survey to collect data and ultimately measure the overall level of cyber-security resilience across the survey population.
