A specialist in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation, with over two decades’ experience across New Zealand, the Pacific, and North America, Mei Lin loves supporting organisations to better understand the difference they’re making and how they can increase their impact.

MeiLin brings rich experience working with organisations big and small across many countries and cultures – including government agencies, international NGOs, and community organisations in Aotearoa, the Pacific, and North America.

Much of her work over the past 15 years has focussed on monitoring and evaluation in the Pacific region. Mei Lin is inspired by finding out what works in supporting the wellbeing of communities.

Mei Lin is multicultural and multilingual, including Chinese, Malay/Indonesian, and basic te reo.

Examples of Mei Lin's work

  • Evaluations and reviews of New Zealand policies and programmes in education and economic growth, and of MFAT-funded programmes in the Pacific across various sectors including education, fisheries, climate change, and public-sector strengthening
  • Developing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting plans and processes for Pacific regional organisations such as SPC and Forum Secretariat, and for MFAT and other New Zealand agencies
  • Supporting strategy development with organisations both in New Zealand, for example the Strategic Intentions for a government agency, and internationally, for example the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.
