Aaron Gabbie

Aaron is a Chartered Financial Analyst and experienced financial modeller. He has applied his modelling and accounting skills in many different contexts, both inside and outside government, and in different kinds of roles, including research.

Aaron is always highly engaged and curious when working on a project. He’s a great listener, and puts plenty of searching questions to his clients so he’s aware of all the key drivers and levers in their world.

Examples of Aaron’s work

• Helping build the financial model for the Milford Opportunities Project – Aaron was responsible for reflecting the complex interactions between key elements, including visitor forecasts, the cost of infrastructure projects, concessions, and a possible levy on international visitors
• Developing financial models for roughly a quarter of New Zealand’s territorial authorities for Local Water Done Well
• Doing a cost-benefit analysis for proposed cycle trails, including in Ruatōria and from the Southern Alps through Selwyn.
