Jennifer Newth
Uniquely approachable, Jennifer has the gift of always making colleagues comfortable about seeking her support. She then always impresses with the accuracy and quality of her work.
Jennifer’s approachability and high professional standards make her a joy to work with. She’s very invested in the quality of MartinJenkins’ services, and she enjoys playing her part in our QA processes – for example, doing final formatting checks for our reports.
Before joining us in 2023, Jennifer had senior administrator roles in the health and disability sector, and that experience heightened her awareness of the importance of ensuring information is accurate and handled correctly.
Very quick to pick up new knowledge and skills, Jennifer says there’s always an opportunity at our firm to learn from our wide range of subject-matter experts. She also has a natural eye for business improvement, and will often spot opportunities to make processes better.
Jennifer loves the MartinJenkins work culture, where all our people are encouraged to be fully engaged in our firm’s goals and values. She takes pride in living those values, especially “We take our work seriously but not ourselves.” For her, job satisfaction is all about doing high-quality work in a team she can have fun with.
In her spare time, Jennifer is a volunteer baker for Good Bitches Baking, a charity that, in her words, provides “a little bit of joy” for hospices, halfway houses, and other places where people are going through a tough time. She’s also learning the art of pottery.
Jennifer has a BMus with First Class Honours from Victoria University of Wellington. In everything she has gone on to do since, Jennifer has applied the disciplined approach and eye for accuracy that her musical background helped instil in her.
